Nero, as Caesar, Æ 17mm of Amorium, Phrygia. AD 50-54. ΝEΡѠΝ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ, laureate head to left / EΠΙ [Μ]ΑΡΚΟ[Υ] ΚΑΙ TITOΥ ΛAV-TIѠN (sic), Zeus seated to left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre; AMP monogram in upper left field. RPC I 5457 (corrected post-publication); British Museum 1850,0326.126; Savoca 94 Blue, 975. 4.23g, 17mm, 2h.

Good Very Fine. Extremely Rare; only 4 examples known to RPC online, two of which are in museum collections.

The name of the magistrates of this issue is still in question, this current specimen offers the clearest example of the left field of the reverse, revealing the most of the second magistrate's name.
